So many people have placed all their hope and all their future, going forward, on a date written in the calendar.

Do I believe that God moves in times and seasons? Yes.

Do I believe that God is BOUND by anything? No.

This is a new season we are about to enter into as the people of God.
For some, they won’t recognize that anything has changed.

But if we hold onto the things of God and trust his leadership in our life, God will explode on the scene of our life with power!

Here’s the simple idea of this post:

THERE IS POWER IN WAITING.

Let me give you the idea the Lord placed on my heart for this…

Transition period is coming…AND…is here! Battles will intensify, but so will the victories.

Planting the seed will be fought against, but the harvests will multiply.

In this new year, I believe from this thought the Lord gave, that…

  • We should not be discouraged by what we see happening around us.
  • We should not place our heart’s desire on the things of this life.
  • We should keep our focus on Jesus and his Word.
  • We should not let depression or discouragement creep into our life.

There are going to be battles.
Battles like we have never seen before are possible, but before you get discouraged, I encourage you to stay the course.

Why? Because I believe from the Lord that, although battles are coming, maybe fierce ones, there are also GREATER VICTORIES coming than we have ever seen before.

We are in the moment just before the return of Jesus and he is intensifying everything about his church.

Because of great battle, there will also be greater victory.
Listen, and understand…
I’M NOT LOOKING FOR THE WORLD TO CHANGE OR GO BACK TO NORMAL BECAUSE THE CALENDAR TURNED A PAGE.

What I am looking for is what God is communicating in my spirit…
THAT GREATER VICTORIES ARE ON THE WAY IN SPITE OF THE WORLD’S COURSE…maybe even BECAUSE of the world’s course!

I also believe the Lord is communicating that planting the seed…the spiritual seed…whatever spiritual seed you might be thinking of…will be greatly fought against.

What are some spiritual seeds?
Our prayers for others.
Our steps of faith.
Our declaration of the Word.

All of these things and more will be fought against stronger than ever in this season, but don’t be discouraged.

Why? Because you cannot stop a spiritual seed from being planted.
Deep in my spirit I believe that GREATER, MULTIPLIED HARVESTS ARE COMING.

Let’s look at scripture along this idea.

Matthew 13:3-9 NKJV
[3] Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. [4] And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. [5] Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. [6] But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. [7] And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. [8] But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. [9] He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

First, let’s notice something about the seed: Nearly ALL of the seeds CAME UP.
There is GOING to be MULTIPLIED HARVEST in this season the church is entering, but we must GUARD OUR SEED!

Some seeds fell by the wayside.
They fell in the wrong places, and the devil simply stole them away.

It tells me that we have to make sure our prayers are directed according to scripture, make sure that we are planting our spiritual seeds with the right motives and attitudes, make sure that what we plant for God is planted in faith.

Make sure your seeds fall in the right place, and on the good ground!

Don’t waste your arrows, but this year, let them strike the target.
Our focus must be on the right target, not the world, not the culture, not the battles or the problems, but on the TARGET.

If you start getting your eyes on the battle raging around you, you will miss the mark on the enemy standing in front of you.

Notice that some seeds fell on stony places, some fell among thorns, but they still CAME UP.
We must guard our spiritual seeds, our prayers, our faith, and make sure it is planted where God wants it to be planted.

Why? Because when the seed falls on good ground it produces a multiplying harvest.

With all my heart, I believe we are entering the time I have personally looked forward to for years.
Miracles are coming.
Harvest is coming.
Salvations are coming.
Healing is coming.
Revival is coming.

This is the season…
But we must be ready to grab ahold of the things of God in the midst of the BATTLE and we must keep planting even though the ground seems hard.

Here’s what the Lord spoke to me…
THE DETERMINING FACTOR IS FOR US TO BECOME A “WAITING” CHURCH.

  • Those who learn to “wait” on God will win their battles.
  • Those who learn to “wait” on the Lord will experience the harvest.
  • Those who learn to “wait” on the Holy Spirit will experience revival.

So many times, we want to win the battle, experience the harvest, gain the promises, and declare the word, but we want to do it just like going through the drive-in at Sonic.

In other words, we’ll park here for a little while, but if we don’t receive what we “ordered” in a timely fashion, one that agrees with our inward clock…we are out of here.

Let me tell you, GONE are the days when you can ride on someone else’s coattail into the promises of God, the harvest, the miracles, and revival.

You and I have to learn to WAIT on the Lord.

Waiting produces victory and harvest.
Waiting PRODUCES miracles.

Simply put…

Waiting produces.

Those who refuse to wait on God will be swept up in the chaos that’s coming on the world.

Those who refuse to wait on God will not see their hopes comes to fruition.

Culture, the world, some even in the church, certainly our flesh, will all agree and tell us that there is NO HOPE to wait on God.
They will say it is nonsense.

But YOU JUST KEEP ON WAITING.
Don’t give up on the Lord.
Don’t give up on the promises.
Don’t give up on revival.
Don’t give up on God reaching your kids and grandkids and friends.
Don’t give up on God showing up in his church.

Listen to what the Book of James says…

James 5:7-11 NKJV
[7] Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

We need to wait on the rain.
The rain is coming.
The harvests are coming.
The promises are REAL, and they are coming.

Listen as James continues…

[8] You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

I’ve been preaching for months now, that Jesus is coming…it’s so close.
He is not coming for a defeated church, but a glorious church.

THIS IS THE SEASON when the church moves into the glory!
He is calling us to ESTABLISH OUR HEARTS THROUGH WAITING ON HIM.

The glory we move into might not be visible to everyone.
Not everyone will know what’s happening in the hearts of the true people of God.
God is doing something IN US.
It will be evident TO US!

[9] Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! [10] My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. [11] Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord-that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

HERE’S MY DECLARATION:

THIS IS THE YEAR OF WAITING ON THE LORD.

Waiting before big decisions.
Waiting before moving.
Waiting before steps of faith.
Waiting before declaring the fight is over.
Waiting before charging forth.
Waiting on the Lord for everything.

Your victory and your harvest will be found in waiting on the Lord.

Listen to what the Bible says…

Isaiah 40:25-31 NKJV
[25] “To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. [26] Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.

By the strength of God’s power, not one thing will be missing from your life that you need.

By God’s strength, the battles you face will be won.

By God’s strength, the harvests will come to fruition in your life.
God is calling out the victory in your life if you will WAIT on him.

[27] Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God”?

This is the problem of those who refuse to wait, and who get up from the presence of the Lord too soon.

They feel like God has passed them over.

There is a remnant rising who will refuse to get up from the presence of the Lord until he comes through.

  • They know that they are protected in his presence.
  • They know that they are strengthened in his presence.
*They know that they have all they need, in his presence.
  • In his presence is everlasting JOY.
  • In his presence is supernatural light that destroys the forces of the enemy and dispels the darkness.

So this rising remnant will stay on their faces in the presence of the Lord UNTIL…
Until it works.
Until he comes.
Until the Spirit falls.

[28] Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

God is NOT GIVING UP the fight, so you also trust IN HIM and don’t give up the fight and the faith for what you are believing.

Here’s what the Bible declares over you…

[29] He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

When I feel weak, that’s the moment when God gives power.
When I feel like I cannot take another step, go another mile, or wait another moment, that’s when God comes through with POWER!

The word, “power,” in this verse literally means: The strength of humans and angels, the strength to produce WEALTH as in the wealth produced from the fruit of the ground.

In other words, it is the strength to see your harvest come in!
God gives those who wait, the strength to see their harvest.
Their answer to prayer.
Their seeds come to fruition.
Their faith rewarded with God’s answer.

But the word “power,” also means:
the ability to change like a chameleon…literally.

What does a chameleon do? He changes his color to avoid the enemy.

Likewise, God will help you change your direction before you experience defeat.
God will help you change your seeds so that you have the correct harvest.
God will help you change your declaration so that you experience victory.

You will be hidden in the palm of the Lord’s hand!

But this passage goes further…

[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,

He’s talking about those who trust in themselves and their own ability.

This is not the hour or the season to think that you can do ANYTHING by your own power.

It is the season for the church, the people of God to fervently TRUST THE LORD AND WAIT IN HIS PRESENCE.

The determining factor for the church will be “waiting.”

THIS IS THE YEAR OF WAITING ON THE LORD.

Your victory and your harvest will be found in waiting on the Lord.

[31] But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

To renew literally means to GO ON to new strength. Not relying on the old, but possessing the new.

When you wait on the Lord, you rise above.
Above the circumstance.
Above the fray.
Above what is happening around you.
Waiting on the Lord produces the endurance to run…to keep going…to press forward and forge ahead…to keep believing in spite of what we see.

This is the year for the church to begin WAITING ON THE LORD AGAIN.

We wait through prayer.
We wait through worship.
We wait through declaring his word.
We wait through gathering.
We wait through corporate prayer.
We wait through faith willing to risk.
We wait through holding on to what we believe.
We wait through pressing forward into his presence.

I will finish by declaring one last time, what the Lord placed in my heart:

Transition period is coming…AND…is here! Battles will intensify, but so will the victories.

Planting the seed will be fought against, but the harvests will multiply.

THIS IS THE YEAR OF WAITING ON THE LORD.
Your victory and your harvest will be found in waiting on the Lord.

My heart is for the church that Jesus is building and returning for...the church that the gates of hell will not prevail against.
More than anything, the desire of my heart is to see the greatest revival of the Holy Spirit, salvations, spiritual awakening, and for the miraculous to come back to the church, preparing believers for the return of Jesus.
