At the outset of this prayer, I must take the time to speak what I hear the Lord saying,
“I’m calling out to people who are refusing my call. They will not listen. They will not heed. They turn to their own ways.”
I am disturbed by what I hear.
This is the time and the hour in which the Lord so strongly desires to pour out his Spirit, and he WILL upon those who heed the call.
Scripture makes a powerful declaration in the book of Proverbs.
Listen to what it says…
Proverbs 1:23-29 NKJV
Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD,
All we need do, to hear the voice of God, is turn back from our ways that displease the Lord and begin to seek him with all our heart while there is still time.
When we push the Lord away, we create an avalanche of disaster that piles up against us until it reaches critical mass.
The fear of the Lord removes the disaster and stops the swell of the tide that rumbles against those who refuse the Lord.
Instead of refusing the voice of the Lord and running from God’s call, we ought to answer like Isaiah did and say, “here I am Lord, USE ME!”
Pray with me and agree…
“Father, here I am. Use me to the extent for which you created me. Use me to declare the message of the Lord in and through my life and sphere of influence. Remove fear of man, and fear of the enemy. Cause me to walk in the ways that you place before me. Open my eyes to the potential and possibility of God. Let me walk in obedience that brings glory to the Lord.
Let no false humility stand in my way of performing the tasks which you place before me. Protect me from the fire, but give me the courage to walk in it. Protect me from the enemy, but give me boldness to speak, to act, and to trust you when I am attacked.
Father I am yours…do what you will.
Lead your people.
Guide your people.
Let us hear your voice as we submit to your name. Let the fear of God once again rise within our heart and be performed in and through our life.
Let not our enemy put us to shame in ANY way, for we trust you.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
