The time has come for the church to rise, to stand, to unify, unwavering, and unswerving, for the biblical values and definitions of life which we deeply affirm.
There is a press from culture and from the governing authorities, that would lead us to back down from our faithfully held standard of belief.
We believe God designed marriage to be between a biological male and a biological female.
The family is a unit, made up of biological men and biological women along with their children.
We must stand for the biblical family unit because it is the institution that God created and the ONLY ONE that He will bless.
Throughout history, the biblical definition of marriage was the standard.
No one thought anything otherwise, and for century upon century, every person simply understood that this definition was right.
As I was reading a few posts from my social media feed this morning, I came across a post by the Rev. Franklin Graham. As you know, he is highly respected, holds tightly to a biblical worldview, and champions the cause of the unborn, the traditional biblical family, and all other biblical viewpoints. In his post, Graham references an article by Albert Mohler, in which Mohler informs us of the waffling stance of Bethany Christian Services, a “Christian” adoption service.
You can read the full article HERE.
The exact word Mohler uses concerning the changing stance of Bethany, is “pivoted.”
The service has “pivoted” from only serving families which hold to a biblical definition of marriage, to serving those who consider themselves married, while holding onto a gay and lesbian lifestyle.
The article by Mohler is an admonishment to the people of God that we must TAKE OUR STAND.
It seems this subject has been on my heart for weeks, if not months, that now is the time to STAND.
We cannot afford to let go of those things which we have held deeply in our hearts, beliefs that come from scripture. No matter what culture tries to redefine, scriptural reality is still the ONLY reality that is true.
In the near future, government may try to force their new standards upon people of faith in even more forceful ways, and the people of God must be on guard, be ready, be watchful, and be strong in our faith, so as to counter against ANYTHING that would war against our faith in such demonically antagonistic ways.
To be clear, we love and pray for every single person who is trapped and lost in a sea of oppression, and dealing with the notion of a homosexual lifestyle.
We contend that we are FOR THE PERSON, but we stand strongly against the SIN OF HOMOSEXUALITY.
The church must pray earnestly for resilience and strength of soul to be given to organizations and people of authority, to stand strong against the tide of cultural backlash that we face from opposing forces.
To be clear again, we are NOT against people, but we are against principalities and evil forces of darkness that seek to influence the hearts and minds of people.
Here’s what scripture says:
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
People are not the enemy.
However, demonic forces seek to establish strongholds in vulnerable areas, and in people who are easily swayed.
Children are the most vulnerable part of the population. They essentially lose their voice in choices of biblical value versus the culture.
What should we do?
I am a strong believer in PRAYER and in the power of INTERCESSORY PRAYER to bring down walls, destroy strongholds, and protect those without defense.
It’s time for the church to pray like we have never prayed.
There are angels standing at the ready, waiting to receive their assignments as we bombard heaven and earth with our prayers. The people of God must allow the Spirit of God to direct our prayers, and be unafraid to speak, stand, and come against the forces of ungodliness seeking to reassign and redefine our nation.
It is our job to pray for the fatherless, the defenseless, the hurting, and the weak among us…certainly children in circumstances like the ones Mohler cites, are among those we should earnestly pray and intercede for.
Let’s take up our mantle and use it.
Let’s stop talking about these topics only among ourselves and begin talking about them with our Heavenly Father.
Let’s war against the demonic principalities that are seeking to gain control over our nation, with the evil intentions of influencing and changing our deeply held beliefs.
