If you don’t think that the enemy will fight you, you are kidding yourself.
There is NEVER a time to turn your back on the devil, thinking that he won’t attack you.
He will play underhanded, attack from behind, and won’t fight fair.
Especially in this moment of history, satan is doing all he can to “pick off” the people of God and take them out of the mix.
“Whatever it takes,” is the strategy of the devil.
But the good news is this…
God’s strategy is also “whatever it takes,” and praise God, he has already done ALL THAT IT TAKES through Jesus!
Romans 8:31-32 NKJV
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
When persecution comes…we must follow Jesus.
When the pressure comes…we must follow Jesus
When the attack on our faith comes…we must follow Jesus.
Romans 8:35-39 NKJV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Paul the apostle said…
2 Timothy 1:8-12 NKJV
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
We KNOW who we have believed.
We believe in Jesus…
- The eternal Son of God.
- The author is our salvation.
- The first and the last.
- The name above all names.
Even if we face turmoil, tests, and trials…our God is faithful.
There is so shadow of turning with him, and neither should we think of turning.
The fact is, once you’ve turned to Jesus, there is no where left to turn for hope, strength, and an eternity worth living and dying for.
To be absolutely clear, I agree with what Pastor Andrew Brunson says in the article referenced in this post.
The American church must prepare, get ready, intensify, hold fast, steady our minds, and endure whatever we face in the near future.
