There are some of you who are engaged in battle right now.
There is a battle for your kids.
There is a battle for your marriage.
There is a battle for your faith.
There is a battle for your walk with God.
There is a battle for your future.
In the midst of the battle there may be moments when it looks like the devil, the enemy, the demon, has the upper hand, but you must remember that in every situation when it looks like satan in winning, that the reality is…GOD IS PERFORMING A DIVINE SETUP.
There is a setup for your victory.
There is a setup that will cause you to triumph.
There is a setup that moves the hand of God FOR YOU and on your BEHALF.
The Lord knows what is taking place in your life.
He sees the battle, and the strategies of the enemy, and there is already a plan in place to combat against the schemes of the enemy.
Every wicked scheme will be brought down.
Every single plan, purpose, and idea of the devil will be destroyed.
Understand, that the people of God ALWAYS have the upper hand, even when it doesn’t appear like it.
Something is coming that will prove the truth of what you believe.
A miracle deliverance.
A miracle healing.
A miracle of freedom and liberty.
A miracle move of the Spirit.
God never leaves his people without hope.
He won’t walk off the scene and make you handle it all yourself.
The Lord is intrinsically tied up to the things happening in your life, because he loves you, and he has a plan for you.
There is a divine setup happening among the people of God right now.
God is moving, he is orchestrating, he is planning, and he is implementing the plan.
But in the middle of the setup, if the enemy can make you afraid and cause you to close your windows and stop seeking God, the setup for divine deliverance will cease.
I hear the Lord whisper, “Don’t be swayed to the right or the left.”
You must, in this moment, continue to seek God, continue to find your greatest joy in his presence, and allow a spirit of worship to overtake your heart.
Let me say it again…
DON’T CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS!
So that you understand what I’m saying, and to give context, let’s read what the Bible says about this in the life of a prophet who distinguished himself above everyone in his time.
Daniel 6:1-10 NKJV
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.
I love this scripture…
Daniel distinguished himself.
It means literally that he was “preeminent, surpassing, extreme, and extraordinary.”
Daniel was a man who sought the Lord.
He loved God, and his life was filled with worship and following the Lord.
Therefore, the anointing of the Holy Spirit was upon him. The anointing of the Holy Ghost will distinguish you ABOVE the nastiness, and schemes of the enemy that surround your life.
The anointing sets you apart as different from the rest. It will bring you to a place of authority or your sphere of influence.
So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.
Did you hear that?
Because of Daniel’s faithfulness he was faultless.
Faithfulness to God always sets you up for God’s greatest plans, and purposes.
Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: “King Darius, live forever! All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.
Now, pay attention to the next scripture because it is absolutely pivotal.
It bears importance in our day and time as well.
We don’t know what is coming tomorrow.
We don’t know what the enemy may throw at the church.
We don’t understand everything that we may face.
But Daniel gives us an example of what to do.
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
What strikes me about this verse is…
- Daniel knew and understood the law that was signed.
- He went into his place of prayer and “opened his windows toward Jerusalem.” Jerusalem symbolized the place of God’s blessing, the place of God’s power, the place of God’s victory. His windows were open to what God wanted to do. Daniel was identifying with the almighty power of God to keep him, to bless him, to help him, and to deliver him.
- He knelt not once, but three times that day…and it was what he was accustomed to doing. He didn’t let the devil steal his walk with God, even under the pressure and stress of certain attack.
When culture tells you “STOP,” that’s when you open your windows to heaven AGAIN.
Every devil, every situation, every problem, every loss, everything you go through tries to CLOSE your window to heaven.
Could it be that your situation is a divine setup to prove the power and effectiveness of Almighty God in your life?
Not that the Lord caused the bad, but that he is about to USE the bad, combined with your resolve, if you continue opening your windows to heaven and seeking his face, he WILL pour out and prove himself true.
Satan doesn’t realize that God is setting you up for something powerful and earth shaking.
The open window symbolizes your prayer to God.
Is your spirit OPEN to the Holy Spirit?
Is your spirit OPEN to the plan of God?
Is your spirit OPEN to the presence and voice of the Lord?
Is your spirit OPEN to what God wants to do?
The enemy tries to make you fear and make you close your windows.
He wants to shut down your prayer life.
He wants to shut down the church.
He wants to shut down all of your connection points with God.
The battle is against you, like Daniel, because of the mantle of God destined for your life.
The anointing of the Spirit destined for you is GREAT, therefore the enemy tries to stop it.
It is the mantle you carry…the anointing of the Holy Spirit…the purposes of the Lord.
The battle was meant to stop Daniel’s FUTURE and what God wanted to use him for.
His life would be pivotal even to THIS DAY because of the prophetic anointing God was orchestrating in his life.
So if the enemy can stop you NOW, he will have rendered you useless for LATER.
Don’t let any fear stop you.
Don’t let any devil stop you.
Don’t let any scheme stop you.
Stay faithful to the Lord.
Seek the Lord.
Open the windows of your spirit to the Lord DAILY.
So what must we do?
How do we overcome?
In what way do we defeat the enemy?
We OPEN OUR WINDOWS TO HEAVEN anyway.
In spite of threat, we open our windows.
In spite of fear, we open our windows.
In spite of hardship and loss, we open our windows.
It simply means…
We open our heart.
We open our spirit.
We open our MOUTH:
No matter what or who tells you to stop opening your windows and quit seeking God, don’t listen!
Do it anyway!
Pray when the enemy surrounds you.
Pray when the battle is hot.
Pray when the pressure on.
Pray like you’ve always done.
Pray more and better than you’ve always done.
Pray in the Holy Spirit.
Pray in the language of heaven.
Pray fervently and effectively.
Don’t let the circumstance rule your prayer…instead, you TAKE CONTROL of the circumstance THROUGH your prayer.
Seek God about it.
Give it to him.
Worship him in spite of the enemy’s threats.
When the devil says stop, that’s the moment when God is divinely setting you up and orchestrating a miracle in and through your life.
Keep opening your window!
Here’s what the Bible says about it…
Daniel 6:11 NKJV
Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
If you’re going to be found, be found praying.
If you’re going to be found, be found seeking God.
If you’re going to be found, be found calling on the help of the Lord.
We know the end of this story.
We’ve read about the outcome.
Daniel does not die.
There was a divine intervention.
The divine setup, literally set Daniel up for even greater authority and power.
It gave him an audience with the king like never before.
Daniel 6:16-17 NKJV
So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”
When the world tries to do wrong to the people of God, even those who don’t know God can see it and recognize it.
The king couldn’t change what was happening, but he had seen enough to know that Daniel’s God had power to save and protect.
Could it be that our divine setup is something that will prove the power of God to those around us?
Could it be the the battle you’re facing is not only meant for you?
Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.
I believe the last phrase of that verse holds a double meaning.
In one way it was meant to say that Daniel was going to face the lions just like they said he would.
But in a another way, a more powerful way, it meant that God’s purpose concerning Daniel would not change even though he faced the lions.
God would deliver.
God would bring the good out of the bad.
God would rise up.
God would protect.
God would set him up for authority.
Early the next day, the king runs to see the outcome of Daniel’s experience with the lions.
Daniel 6:20-22 NKJV
And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
I’m telling you, THIS is what the world is really looking for.
We are being set up so that we have a testimony to the world of the saving power of God.
There are many lost people, just waiting to see if what we claim to be true is REALLY TRUE.
They want to believe God can deliver.
They want to believe God can save.
They want to believe God is real.
In their hearts they are secretly asking, “is your God able?”
Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
I’m encouraging you right now to remember that God is FOR YOU.
OPEN YOUR WINDOWS.
Don’t close your windows.
Open your heart.
Open your spirit.
Open your MOUTH:
